Job Title: Finance Assistant, Part Time

We are assisting our successful client with the recruitment of a part time Finance Assistant to join their small friendly team in their expanding gift and homewares business to help manage growing list of retail clients. The role is to assist primarily with accounts administration/general bookkeeping but also to help with other administration roles within the company when necessary. This role is based in Bishop’s Stortford and offers 25 days paid annual leave (P/R), workplace pension and heavily discounted prices on their beautiful range of gifts for the home, kitchen and outdoor living collections.
Some of your day-to-day tasks in the role of Finance Assistant will include:
Reconciliation of bank accounts and recording of payments/receipts on SAGE accounting software
Reconciliation of the website orders and receipts
Supplier invoice processing & customer invoice processing
Monthly statements to customers
Processing of payments
Month end reports and procedures for data for the accountants
General office assistance of answering customer calls/queries etcTo fulfil the role of Finance Assistant you will have / be:
Background / experience in accounting
Confidence with IT Skills particularly in relation to MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Well organised with the ability to meet the needs of the customer
Attention to detail
Must have a ‘can do’ attitude, be a team player as well as ability to work independently The package for the role of Finance Assistant:
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: Monday to Thursday 1pm – 5pm. Friday 12pm – 4pm with some flexibility
