Are you an enthusiastic and reflective teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking school?

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Year 5 teacher to join a ‘Good’primary school in the heart of Glossop. As a result of a mat cover and school movement, a part-time opportunity presents to teach 3 days a week in a wonderful Year 5 class. The class is average size with the majority meeting age related expectations in core subjects and the class also benefits from TA support.

The school is well-established with a strong reputation in the local community, built on high expectations, nurturing relationships, and a child-centred ethos.

The school are looking for a practitioner who:

Has strong subject and curriculum knowledge within Key Stage 2, especially in Year 5
Plans and delivers purposeful, engaging lessons that link learning to real-life scenarios and reflect modern society
Uses adaptive teaching methods to support all learners, including visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic approaches
Demonstrates effective behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement and mutual respect
Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team, sharing best practice and supporting wider school development
Has a commitment to high standards of achievement and progress for all pupils
