Ward Nurse (Ophthalmic) – Part time (12 month FTC) – Up to £38,000 pro rata – Hounslow
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a leading Eye Hospital in the Hounslow area, for an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse to join their highly skilled and supportive team.
This is a 12 month fixed term position offering generous salary. You’ll have access to brilliant company benefits and fantastic learning and development opportunities. The role is 20 hours a week across 2 set days.
Role Responsibilities:
· You will be responsible for delivering in all aspects of the Ophthalmic service, including surgery
· Providing care to all patients, with specific responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital
Qualifications:
* RGN or ODP qualification with relevant registration
* A qualification in Ophthalmology or Peri operative care and previous experience in Ophthalmology or Outpatients would be desirable but isn’t not essential
Skills Required:
* Experienced and confident in a day surgery / operating theatre / outpatient setting
* A minimum of one year post qualification experience
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning
