Job Title: SEND Primary TA

About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND TA to join our inclusive and vibrant primary school located in the heart of London. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the educational development and emotional well-being of children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
– Work closely with the classroom teacher to deliver tailored educational support to students with SEND, ensuring their specific learning objectives are met.
– Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans (BSPs).
– Provide 1-1 or small group support to students, focusing on areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills.
– Establish a safe and nurturing environment that encourages students with SEND to engage actively in their learning and school community.
– Collaborate with external professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, facilitating the holistic support of students.
– Participate in training and development opportunities to strengthen your knowledge and skills in special education.
– Promote inclusion by assisting in adapting curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Proven experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting is essential.
– A deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND and a commitment to ensuring they receive equitable access to educational opportunities.
– Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures is vital.

Salary: £83 – £93/annum
