You will be working as a Senior Receptionist and will be responsible for controlling access to the service, ensuring the safety of service users, visitors and staff, and guiding the reception team. You will be required to manage administrative tasks and you must have excellent phone etiquette.

Role – Part-Time Senior Receptionist
Location – Atherton, Manchester
Salary – £17,523 per annum
Hours – 30 hours per week (Part-Time)

As the first point of contact for all agencies, receive all visitors professionally, ensuring they are welcomed and passed on in a helpful and efficient manner.
Receive all telephone calls and transfer the same without delay, taking messages as appropriate, at all times taking into account confidentiality.
To undertake administrative duties as requested
Ensure all staff details are up to date and accurate on the Doors and Key Management systems.
Issue keys and security alarms to staff as appropriate.
To work a pre-determined shift pattern and remain flexible subject to service need.
As the central point of contact, liaise as appropriate in case of fire alarm, medical emergencies, and first aid calls.
Operate and monitor the personal alarm system.
Operate and monitor the radios, ensuring compliance with the licensing laws. Arrange maintenance calls as required.
Sort and process the outgoing and incoming mail for the unit.
Accept deliveries and forward them to the appropriate recipients.
Take bookings for hospital vehicles.
To actively participate in maintaining the physical, relational; and procedural security to ensure the safety of all.

Where you will be working:
Location: Everest Road, Atherton, Manchester, M46 9NT
You will be working at The Spinney, a service which offers a range of care settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) are all set within an 11 acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas.
You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team at The Spinney who have previously been recognised by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) for their ability to reinforce positive behaviour, prevention of challenging behaviour and successful interventions in a secure care setting.
