Job Title: Painter
Location: Croydon
Salary: £37,000 – £43,000 depending on shift.
About the Role
We are looking for a Painter with a basic understanding of paint application and surface preparation to join our workshop team. You will work on Rolling Stock, learning and developing your skills while delivering high-quality finishes.
What is required of the Painter:
Basic knowledge of paint application and prepping surfaces.
Interest in paints, coatings, and finishing techniques.
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Reliable, motivated, and able to follow instructions.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities of the Painter:
Prepare and prime surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
Apply paints, primers, and coatings using spray equipment.
Work with different paints, thinners, and sandpaper grits.
Assist with colour matching and blending.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Check finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
