Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Role

Salary: £25 – £26 per hour

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a rotational locum role in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic inpatient therapy team, working across a range of clinical areas and developing diverse skills.

Key Areas of Practice

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality occupational therapy across the following services:

* Musculoskeletal outpatients

* Orthopaedic inpatients

* Rheumatology services

* Acute medical and surgical wards

* Inpatient rehabilitation

Responsibilities

* Complete detailed assessments and implement tailored occupational therapy interventions

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and support patient rehabilitation and discharge

* Assist Band 7 OTs in:

* Supervising and supporting Band 5 Occupational Therapists

* Delegating appropriate caseloads to therapy assistants and support staff

* Guiding students and individuals on clinical placement

* Contribute to service development and promote best clinical practice

Requirements

* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

* Clinical experience in at least one of the following areas: MSK, orthopaedics, rheumatology, acute medicine/surgery, or rehabilitation

* Strong communication, time management, and clinical reasoning skills

* Experience supervising junior staff or students is desirable
