Role: Manufacturing Control Engineer
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: 14:30pm – 02:30am Monday – Thursday (4 Day week)
Rate: £32.50 FCSA umbrella (Inside IR35) OR £24.00 PAYE +20% Shift Premium
Duration: 18 months (likely to extend)
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for automation and robotics, and bring to implementation.
Affectively use Siemens PLC/HMI software to aid maintenance teams to diagnoses production issues.
Affectively use Siemens/ Mitsubishi PLC software to uplift and standardise legacy system assets.
Proactively identify business opportunities, assess overall impact, and justify to senior stakeholders for capital investment.
Project management – Full scope, development, budgets, resources, and management of NPI or Improvement projects (Technology/Efficiency/Quality) from initiation to production and program completion.
Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions work with functional teams, using a range of tool e.g. process flows, PFMEA’s, control plans. Promote lean and quality as a focus within the business.
Monitor and report on project health, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are achieved.
Developing equipment specifications and installation requirements and ensuring that the equipment is safe and meets the needs of manufacturing.
Working with facility teams to establishing the correct suppliers and managing timelines to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
Salary: £32.50/hour
