Media Support Worker
Location: Cardiff, CF10 1FS. Location working may be required.
Contract: Permanent, Part-time (24 hours per week). Schedule will vary, Monday to Friday. Weekend working may be required in exceptional circumstances.
Salary: £23,324.37 pro rata per annum
Main objectives
The postholder will provide workplace support (facilitation) for a disabled staff member according to the Support Worker Record of Tasks (details below). The individual being supported is visually impaired. They work as a radio content producer and all support work is done to their instruction.
The postholder must be proficient at using standard software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). They must also be able to develop a working knowledge of other specialist apps or technical equipment with training or instruction.
A high standard of written and spoken English, and good typing skills is essential. In addition, the postholder must be a Welsh speaker.
The postholder will also be required to complete routine administrative tasks, including accurately recording details of their working hours, to ensure KPIs are met, and our financial reporting is accurate.
A current DBS certificate and full UK driving licence are essential. Applicants will be required to complete a driver declaration form.
