With a staff of over ninety people and a turnover of £7m, we up-skill more than 85,000 people each year and work with businesses and other stakeholders to create innovative skills solutions.
Currently, we’re working with a number of organisations to deliver the Tyfu Cymru Project. This project aims to prepare growers and producers across Wales to adapt for the future and position them to capitalise on development and growth opportunities.
We are looking for a part-time Horticulture Co-ordinator to join us on a maternity cover contract and support the success of this project.
In this varied role, you will:
– Provide administrative support to project staff
– Manage diaries and make travel arrangements
– Help the Project Manager to prepare monthly claims, performance summaries and future projections
– Support the delivery of the communications plan
– Maintain and develop systems for files and records
To be considered, you’ll need:
– Experience of working in a customer service environment
– Excellent knowledge of MS Office 2010 applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and social media
Diligent and detail-oriented, as a Horticulture Co-ordinator, you’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You’ll also be able to work on your own initiative and effectively prioritise your workload.
Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: funded project activity, the horticultural sector in Wales, or key bodies in the horticulture, land-based or environmental sectors.
Fluency in Welsh, in addition to English, would also be advantageous.
This is a part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week.
