Aspire People are recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary schools across Gloucester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom supervisors looking to gain hands-on experience in education.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a calm, focused learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Support students with their learning and encourage participation
Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leaders about pupil progress and behaviour
Provide general classroom support as required
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting
Confident classroom presence and ability to engage students
Strong communication and organisational skills
Reliability, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting students’ learning
A passion for education and helping young people succeed
