School Nurses or Emergency First Aid Trained HCAs – Farnham Royal, Bucks
Part time and / or Bank Staff
* School Health Centre, up to 17.5 hours per week, term time
* Salary by negotiation, dependent upon skills and experience
* Start date: as soon as possible
Our client is one of the country’s most prestigious Independent Boarding and Day Preparatory Schools for Boys. They are a flourishing school with around 250 boys from 7 to 13 years old, with all boys boarding in the final two years. They deliver a first class education, sporting provision and a rich variety of music, drama, arts and extracurricular opportunities, in a friendly and supportive working environment. The School is only twenty miles from central London in a beautiful location.
They are looking to appoint an experienced School Nurse or Health Care Assistant to join their medical team, for up to 17.5 hours per week, term time only:
Wednesdays 1pm to 5pm – 4 hours
Thursdays 7 am to 11 am – 4 hours
Fridays 7 am to 12.30 pm – 5.5 hours
Saturdays 1pm to 5 pm – 4 hours
Shift times may vary and there may also be a requirement to provide cover for other staff from time to time so some flexibility will be needed. They are also interested in applications from “bank staff” or trained Health Care Assistants who are experienced pitch-side Emergency First Aiders for ad-hoc hours.
Experience of dealing with young children and with a keen interest in health care promotion are essential to this role. Previous experience of working in A&E, with minor injuries or in a school environment would be an advantage and candidates should be confident working independently and as part of a team, as our Health Centre team play a vital role in the healthcare of all members of the school community. The post holders will be required to be in attendance pitch side, outdoors, during sports matches as required.
