An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced finance professional into our Finance and Public Value Team as a part time Assistant Accountant. Our team of accountants and finance officers work in partnership with budget holders to provide a high quality finance support function and deliver our fundamental purpose of securing excellent financial stewardship and probity. It is an exciting time to join the Finance and Public Value team with a fresh, innovative vision and several key transformation projects currently under way which will define our service for years to come.

If you are an effective communicator with first class interpersonal skills, please apply. Excellent IT and analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles are also essential, as is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting workloads to achieve results accurately and on time.

The exciting Assistant Accountant role will provide financial support and advice to the new Performance and Partnership directorate, enabling budget holders to fulfil their financial management responsibilities. The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including providing finance advice and guidance for core team budgets, projects, partnerships, and key externally funded projects. The external funding element of the role is both diverse and fulfilling.
