As a C1 7.5 Tonne Driver for, you will carry out deliveries on behalf of the company in a safe, timely and efficient manner as required by the business. As a representative of the company, you will be required to possess a positive, can-do attitude and build good working relationships with both customers and the team.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will also help us provide a dedicated, professional and effective warehousing operation. Working within a dedicated team of professionals to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse function.
Driver responsibilities
* Must have 1 year recent van driving experience
* To conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects via Fleetcheck App.
* To ensure your vehicle is loaded with the correct product and that the load is restrained/strapped and safe to drive.
* To deliver the goods in order according to MaxOptra Route Scheduling app and complete delivery confirmations / report issues via the app.
* To always maintain contact with customers regarding delivery time.
* To report any issues on site back to the branch .
* To drive in accordance with the law, our Transport Policies and Procedures and current legislation.
* To ensure all work is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
* To assist with other duties in the branch as required.
Job Requirements:
* Current driving licence, maximum of 6 points.
* A good level of fitness to be able to complete the physical work required.
* Ability to follow clear instructions from Supervisors, Managers and Directors.
* Ability to drive safely and be trustworthy and reliable.
* Excellent customer service skills to help promote a professional image.
* Ability to use and record information via smartphone app’s.
* Counter-balance FLT and Bendi FLT licence(s) and experience.
* Excellent attention to detail regarding stock intake and record keeping.
* Ability to work as part of a professional team.
* Basic numeracy and literacy essential.
* Good communication skills.
Start Times 05.00 – 07.00
10 Hr days
Monday – Friday
Holidays 25 days + Bank holidays – 3 days for Christmas
Pay £31000 P/A £13.24 per hr
Salary: £13.24/hour
